The opportunity to learn from and alongside a group of passionate and like-minded professionals.

What inspired you to pursue a career in transportation? 

My love for trains, and belief that good transportation policy can play a key role in making our cities more equitable and sustainable.

Describe a job or project that you are most proud of: 

An analysis of local governments in Florida -- and the factors influencing their tendencies to invest (or not invest) in flood risk mitigation measures, and whether decisions to invest in flood risk mitigation raises local home values.

What is the best professional advice that you've received? 

Run towards what you fear (e.g. don't be afraid to jump out of your comfort zone, not necessarily out of an airplane).

I'm an avid runner and urban explorer -- and I embrace my obsession with astronomy when I need a (brief) escape from the urban world.
